Urban Hunger Relief Initiative

This project provides funds for food for local food banks and  the Matthew Houses, as well as other hunger initiatives across Ontario and Quebec focused on newcomers to Canada.  To date, newly arrived Haitian families have received food vouchers, other newcomers have received welcome baskets including culturally appropriate food items depending on the newcomers' country of origin, fresh produce and milk has been provided, and needed fridges and freezers have been bought for refugee houses.
 
$35 provides a food voucher for a single newcomer
$75 provides a food voucher for a family of 4
$100 provides fresh produce for Matthew House
