Refugee Relief Initiative
Project #80671

People from around the world are coming to the major cities in Canada like Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto as well as to smaller areas like: Ft. Erie, Quebec City, and Windsor. At present a large number of those being assisted are Haitian.  This initiative assists with the needs of refugees  arriving in these cities with basic needs such as food and safe shelter as well as seeking to provide a sense of community and a sense of family for refugees both individuals and families that find themselves in a strange new country.  This initiative assists with refugee housing start-ups such as Matthew House Montreal and Matthew House Ottawa (www.matthewhouseottawa.org)
